Measures we are taking at High Rigg B&B to keep us all safe from Covid-19

​We want you to feel reassured that High Rigg is a safe place to stay, so you can relax and enjoy your visit. We are rigorously following social distancing rules ourselves and, as we only have 2 bedrooms, there will be very limited contact with any other guests. We will follow government requirements when they are made clear, but in the meantime we will put in place the following measures to assure your well-being:-

1. Check-in – we’ll agree different check-in times for guests arriving on the same day.
2. Breakfast – we’ll agree separate breakfast times for different guests; each party will have its own table with seating at least 2m from the other table.
3. All food is served to order (no self-service).
4. We’ll be washing our hands with soap and water frequently.
5. Throughout the day we’ll disinfect surfaces in common areas, e.g. door handles, bannisters and light switches..
6. In addition to usual food hygiene measures, we’ll wear a mask when preparing and serving food.
7. Room cleaning before you arrive;
   1. In addition to usual cleaning we will wipe all surfaces, appliances and keys with disinfectant wipes and thoroughly ventilate your room,
   2. Bathrooms, bath, shower, toilet etc are rigorously cleaned with products which are highly active against Covid-19.
8. Room cleaning when you are here - we are happy to make beds, empty bins and clean bathrooms as usual, unless you ask us not to. 
9. Guest hand sanitising – we’ll provide hand sanitiser for guests’ use in the entrance hall and we provide complimentary soap and hand wash in guest bathrooms.
10. Contactless payment – we are happy for guests to pay by cheque or cash, but encourage payment by money transfer and will provide the account details to guests who prefer this.
